THE CHI SIGMA CHAPTER

Alpha Epsilon Pi, the Jewish Fraternity, was founded to provide opportunities for Jewish men seeking the best possible college and fraternity experience. While the mission of our fraternity is to develop Jewish leaders for the Jewish community, we focus on fostering the friendships and brotherhood that last a lifetime.

The Chi Sigma Chapter of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity at UCSD provides its brothers with an irreplaceable and unforgettable college experience. We provide the most unique and profound brotherhood of all Alpha Epsilon Pi chapters and all UCSD fraternities. Through our parties, formals in Palm Springs, Las Vegas, and Big Bear, annual philanthropies, exchanges with sororities, intramural athletics, road trips, and casual brotherhood events, we never have a dull moment.

We attribute our success to the uniqueness and creativity that each brother brings to the fraternity. All of the members of Chi Sigma bring enthusiasm and dedication to every AEPi event, and collectively work in the greater San Diego community. Our efforts have been recognized both at UCSD and nationally. For the 2004-05 academic year at UCSD we were recognized as the Most Outstanding Fraternity on Campus for the second time, and also recognized nationally as the Most Outstanding AEPi Chapter in North America for the third time in five years. Also, our chapter GPA has been the highest on campus for the last 12 years.

We take the utmost pride in everything we do in Alpha Epsilon Pi, particularly our philanthropies and community service. At the beginning of this past year, AEPi raised 12,000 dollars for children with food insecurity in San Diego during our winter Bike-a-thon, Hunger Relief, we and added over 150 people to the National Bone Marrow Registry during our spring philanthropy, Cuck Fancer. In addition to our philanthropies, our brothers volunteer at the Jewish old age home, tutor at the local Preuss School, and are involved in every area of campus life.

Brothers in Chi Sigma have a diverse collection of individual interests. Whether you’re into surfing, swimming, yoga, basketball, frisbee golf, or weightlifting, there’s always somebody to connect with. And yet while some brothers choose to attend Shabbat services on a weekly basis, others have never even been. Everything that we do as chapter is done with a Jewish perspective, which creates the foundation for the our brotherhood.

College is about forming the bonds that last a lifetime while gaining the knowledge and experience to prepare yourself for the future. Joining Alpha Epsilon Pi gives you both of these, and more. Each one of our brothers will tell you that joining the Chi Sigma Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Pi was one of the best decisions they’ve made in their college years.
